NMHDA has been publishing Jalashakti as the micro hydro magazine. The articles inserted in this magazine provide latest information on micro hydro sector in the country. It also carries out news and activities related to the Association and entire micro hydro sector. Technical articles, views, opinions inserted are successful to build public opinion towards the betterment of the sector. The readers at remote or at a distant location find Jalashakti as a knowledge sharing instrument.
NMHDA intends to intensify Jalashakti readership by uploading the latest issue to website so as this will be accessible to all. Since internet access to village people through electricity of micro hydropower has been a common facility in the nooks and corners of the country, this facility should have been fully utilised. This will be one more benefit to people who live in villages. Much more people to get information on micro hydropower also will be a good practice and benefit to all.
To bring out Jashakti in shape and size Mr. Girish Kharel spent his time and efforts to edit Jalashakti in initial phase 15 years ago. He worked hard for first 4 issues. Likewise Mr. Brijesh Mainali worked the same for 5 issues. Mr. Krishna Prasad Devkota continued following to Mr. Mainali.
Consulting editor, Mr. Purna N. Ranjitkar, has been associated with Jalashakti for more than a decade.
